In close juxtaposition, the large-size projections (each 338 x 254 cm) fill the entire length of a wall. We see the backs of professional boxers as they practice on the bag. In one fixed section, the backs are in constant motion: drawing back and striking, straining and discharging, over and over again. Each individual boxer takes over, who in turn will be relieved by yet another. In all, 6 diffrent boxers are shown. Between the 3 backs simaltaneously displayed at any given time a rhythmic relationship is formed, as in a dance. The size of the projection renders the backs abstract. Below each image a loudspeaker produces synchronised sound. We hear the distinct breathingand moaning of the diffrent boxers, and the landing of the blows.
