16 glass rods are placed upright across a slab of wood along with men’s socks.
The glass rods are fragile ready-mades from glass production, broken at the tip.
Voices can be heard from the slab of wood. These are the voices of three actors, two men and a woman, who recite different systems of numbers. The fundamental tone of their recital is formed by their reading the successive digits of the mysterious number Pi in a low, steady voice. In-between they recite the large and increasing sums of money paid in art auctions, their voices excited, demanding and seductive.
The piece was shown in the MMK branch located in Frankfurt’s banking district.
